  • 2 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Speaker: Mr. Yousif ALWajih
Graduate Student
Control and Instrumentation Engineering Department

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals

Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

Time: 2:00 p.m.
Location: 22-134

Abstract:

With the extensive increase in economic and social development, the power industry plays an important role in our daily lives. Meanwhile, the power grid operation is harshly degrading due to the dynamic deviation in the active load demand of interconnected generation areas. This challenge accelerates with propagating complexity of the interconnected power system by combining additional supplied generation areas into the presented power grids.

Speaker Bio:

Mr. Yousif ALWajih earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Control and Instrumentation Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in 2019 and 2022, respectively. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Systems and Control Engineering in the Control and Instrumentation Engineering Department at KFUPM in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he works as a Teaching Assistant in the same department. His research interests include intelligent control systems, data-driven control, adaptive control, optimization algorithms, and nonlinear control systems.

All Faculty, Researchers, and Graduate Students are invited to attend.
