We are very delighted that you are here reading these lines about the Department of Control & Instrumentation Engineering, home for excellence in education, research, and strong relationship with the local industry. The department offers BS program in Control and Instrumentation Engineering and MS and PhD programs in System Control Engineering. The offered programs meet international standards in terms of level and contents. We encourage ambitious UG and PG students to join us.

Our Faculty members are engaged in world-class research and development activity through various Interdisciplinary Research Centers at the University. The key thrust areas where our faculty members are undertaking cutting-edge research are: Intelligent Manufacturing and Robotics, Renewable Energy and Power Systems, Unmanned Systems (Ground, Air and Underwater Vehicles), Process Automation and Control, and Smart Logistics.

Our aim is to become one of the top departments in the broad areas of Control and Instrumentation Engineering within the Middle East region as well as in the world. In order to realize our vision, we also look forward to bright minds joining us as a faculty member.

The department is keen to build very strong relationship with the local industry. In addition, the department organizes workshops and meetings for local engineers in different areas including industrial control systems.

The department is very proud to have very energetic and skillful undergraduate students in CIE program. Their different academic background and their enthusiasm created an excellent environment for their education through their team work in course work and in extra curricula activities.
